Engine, Performance, and Cargo Capabilities
The Lincoln MKX comes standard with a 3.7L V6 that
has 307 horsepower. The Lexus RX 350 has a 3.5L V6 with only 295 horsepower.
That alone gives our brand's crossover an edge, but we also need to point out
that all four trims on the Lincoln MKX can upgrade to an even more powerful
2.7L V6 with 335 horsepower for an extra boost when driving around the
Chambersburg area! Double win.
Towing wise both models tie at being able to bring
along up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped.
Each of the crossovers has seating for five
passengers. The cargo volume on the Lincoln MKX is 37.2 cubic feet of space
when the seats are up and 68.8 feet if you need to fold all the back seats
flat. In comparison, the RX 350 is quite tiny with only 18.4 cubic feet of
space behind the second row (not much more than the trunk of many mid-size
sedans) and 56.3 cubic feet of maximum space. If you have one or two children
or a lifestyle that necessitates suitcases and gear, you'll enjoy having more
room to work with on the Lincoln!
